ARTIST STATEMENT
When I create a painting, I must feel a connection and through my paintings I express that feeling. People often ask me how long it takes for me to paint something and it’s not an easy answer. Sometimes, I hold onto an image for over a year or more. I print it out, hang it up in my studio and my mind builds on what it will become by things that I observe each day.  I use bright vibrant color to interpret feeling and to offer people a different way to look at the world. When people look at my paintings they don't take whatever I have painted for granted. They observe it more because I have interpreted the subject matter in a way they haven't seen before.
